We invest in various stages, from seed financing for promising startups with compelling prototypes to Series B and later for established companies with market traction. Typically, we look for companies that already have a product on the market or are about to launch one, and are showing early signs of product-market fit.
Our investment sizes vary depending on the phase and capital requirements of the company. Typically, we invest between CHF 500,000 and CHF 15 million. For seed financing, we usually range between CHF 500,000 and CHF 2 million, while our later-stage investments can be between CHF 5 million and CHF 15 million.
We typically aim for minority stakes between 10% and 30%, depending on the investment phase and size. For seed investments, the percentage may be higher, while for later rounds it is typically lower. We value that the founding team retains a significant share to create incentives for long-term success.
We are active investors but not micromanaging. Typically, we take a seat on the advisory board or supervisory board and meet regularly with the management team to discuss strategy and offer support. We respect the operational autonomy of the team but are available to provide advice and assistance when needed. The level of our involvement can vary depending on the specific needs and phase of the company.
The entire process from initial contact to closing typically takes 3-4 months. For early-stage investments, it can be faster, while more complex later-stage deals may take longer. We try to make the process as efficient as possible without compromising the thoroughness of our due diligence. Good preparation and quick response times from both sides can significantly accelerate the process.
